01

Start with the property and its history.

Pool barrier requirements differ between NSW and Victoria and depend on the circumstances of the pool. Tell us where the property is, whether the pool is proposed or existing, and why an inspection is needed.

If you have received council correspondence, include it with your enquiry. Existing registration information, approvals and previous inspection records can also help establish the relevant requirements.

02

NSW pool barriers.

Registered certifiers and councils can inspect pool barriers and issue a certificate of compliance when the applicable requirements are met. Owners remain responsible for maintaining the barrier.

Contact our team to discuss the inspection service for your property, including any requirements associated with a sale, lease or council notice.

03

Victorian pool barriers.

Owners of pools and spas subject to Victoria’s registration requirements must register them with council and arrange the required barrier inspections. Where the barrier complies, a certificate is issued for the owner to lodge with council within the applicable timeframe.

Use your council correspondence to check your next due date. Our team can explain the inspection process and the documentation relevant to your booking.

04

Clear outcomes and next steps.

Following the inspection, we explain the outcome and any identified matters requiring attention. A compliance certificate can only be issued when the applicable requirements are satisfied.

To request an inspection, provide the property address, your contact details, pool information and relevant council correspondence.
